NEC Harlequins have been forced to withdraw from Friday's pre-season friendly match against Saracens at Vicarage Road. Injury and illness have decimated the Quins squad, leaving them unable to field a full side, particularly in the front row where nine of the 10 players in the squad are ruled out.
Sarries will now concetrate upon their friendly against Bedford Blues at Goldington Road on Saturday, kicking off at 3pm.
The Blues lineup includes many former Zurich Premiership stars such as Junior Paramore, Jon Phillips, Matty Stewart and ex-Saracens Joe Ross.
Coached by former Springbok head coach Rudi Straeuli, the Blues have already beaten Quins in pre-season and should give Saracens a stern workout despite their league position one division below the Men in Black.
Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
