2 good sides, but Tigers to win at home, confidence rising after winning away at the Stoop.

Good to see O'Connor back on the bench. And McGuigan, I assume Thacker is injured after last week so returns in the nick of time.
Important to match, or if possible over match, the Chiefs pack in the physical battle. A very big Exeter pack.
Need to get some contact on Steenson from the forwards, either through carries or tackles, to try and disturb him and Smith to keep Slade quiet.

Against the Ex pack - maybe.
We need to match then in the forwards - not easy - and our backs will win it. But I don't see the former transpiring.

To be honest I think the performance matters more in this than the result, if we really want to see where we are going.If we crumble like we did against them last season, questions will be asked but anything from a fighting defeat upwards will mean we really are moving along.
I agree Idle. We are definitely the underdogs. Be nice to see Jules again. Let's see if the jackal 7 can still do the business.
I'm with Idle on this. I don't expect a win, although I'd be a hip-hop-happy bunny if we got it, but I really hope for a proper performance that shows we're rolling. And I agree with Rich that it'll come down to whether we can match them (or better - I can dream) up front.

Well according to the websites the weight of the packs are almost identical. Just how they perform together I guess.

I think that's right - the Exeter pack is definitely more than the sum of its parts whereas ours has been somewhat less so.

I'd have Mitch Lees ahead of all of our locks. Dennis would be in my combined team too, Williams is a penalty machine and too much of a liability at the moment.

I think Hill is under rated by many and is a top player but I'd personally have Wells with Lees.
Their front row is all good, I might have Yeandle ahead of Youngs on form, but Youngs' best is better if he can get there.

Would keep our props.
Do well if we get anything out of this i.e. an LBP. Ex exactly the sort of side who are set up to hurt our weaknesses in set piece and back five of the pack, and they looked in pretty ominous form v Wasps. So not expecting too much!
But good measure of the side to see how long we can compete and maybe this year we have a few more tools in the backs to strike back.
