For the first time Zara has been knocked off top spot in the predictions league. Most people picked up points for predicting a Tigers win but few expected the win to be so emphatic.

Coming into the Newcastle game there were three people sharing the lead on the predictions table - they were Brummytiger, Lizzie and Zara, who had held the lead ever since being the only one to predict that Leeds would beat Tigers in the opening fixture. However after predicting a 12 all draw for this game a Tigers win would always see Brummytiger drop down the field. Lizzie and Zara both predicted Tigers wins, but as Lizzie was close to the Falcons final score of 9 she picked up a bonus point and went into the lead.

The only person to pick up a bonus point for the Tigers score this week was Denise. She predicted that Tigers would get 50, which, after the previous weeks results seemed a little optimistic. I should never have doubted her, though, as Tigers racked up 52 points. Blake also picked up a point for guessing the Newcastle score spot on.

A lot of people are predicting that next weeks game against Bristol will be a tight contest. But with Bristol languishing at the wrong end of the table and Tigers seemingly finding form, it will be interesting to see what happens.
