Leeds Tykes fans have trips to France, Scotland and Wales to look forward to next season, having drawn either Stade Francais or Toulouse, Edinburgh and the new Welsh provincial side from the Neath/Swansea region. London Wasps Parker Pen victory over Bath meant Leeds Tykes qualified for their first ever Heineken Cup as the Premiership's fifth placed team. Expressing his delight with the Heineken Cup draw Phil Davies, Leeds Tykes Director of Rugby said:

"It is a massive honour for us to be involved in the biggest competition in club rugby and a possible fixture against the Heineken Cup Champions, Toulouse, would be a historic day for the club."

"Heineken Cup rugby has proved a massive success wherever it has been played and hopefully it will be a massive draw for supporters, our achievement this season begins to sink in now that the draw has been made and we are already excited about next season," added Davies.

The Tykes French opposition is yet to be finalised as Leeds are to play the runners-up of the French Championship, either the current European Champions Toulouse or the high profile Stade Francais.

The pool stage will also pitch Scottish international Gordon Ross and his new team mate Duncan Hodge up against their former Edinburgh teammates.
