Jason Strange kicked 89 conversions in all matches beating the previous highest of 85 set by Alan Pearn in 1971-72. Sean Marsden ran in 26 tries in all matches the most by a Bristol player since Alan Morley grabbed 28 in 1985-86.

LEAGUE RECORDS

Sean Marsden set a new record for most tries in a league season by a Bristol player with 21 (previous record was 13) and also took his total number of league tries to 34 beating Paul Hulls previous record of 29. The 4 tries he scored against Orrell has only been exceeded by Luke Nabaro who scored 5 against Blackheath on his club debut. Jim Brownrigg, Marko Stanojevic and Manuel Contepomi all scored 3 tries in a league match this season.

Jason Strange holds the record for most points in a season with 287 passing the 221 scored by Felipe Contepomi in 2001-2002.

The 64 conversions he kicked is a record number in a season and also the most by a Bristol player in league matches.

He kicked a record 7 conversions in the league match at Nottingham and was replaced at half time! The 7 penalties he kicked at Penzance equalled the record held by Felipe Contepomi and Mark Tainton.

940 points is the most that we have scored in a season and 22 wins equals the number of games won when promoted in 1998/99. We also set new records for most tries in a season (121) and most conversions (89).

11 consecutive wins from Nottingham 02-10-2004 to Nottingham 20-01-2005 equalled the club record.

The away win at Nottingham (66-28) set a new record for most points in a league match, this was then extended in the home win against Exeter (68-15).

The attendance of 10,349 for the match against Exeter set a new record for ND1.

We started the season in 6th place after the away win at Penzance, the following week we climbed to 5th after defeating London Welsh, then moved up to 3rd after the win at Sedgley Park. The home loss to Plymouth dropped us back to 5th but wins agt Nottingham and Bees put us back to 3rd. We finally hit top spot on 23rd October following success at Henley. The home defeat inflicted by Penzance on 12th Feb knocked us off top spot but with consecutive wins agt Bees, Henley, Coventry and Plymouth we regained top spot on 19th March.

CUP RECORDS

The 61 points scored against Nottingham is the most that we have scored in the 84 national cup matches played and the 57-3 win at Waterloo is our biggest ever winning margin.

With 4 tries against Nottingham Marko Stanojevic now holds the record for most tries in a cup match.
