As Fred Astaire would say ‘there may be trouble ahead’. After the disappointing home draw with Southend the Robins find themselves up against some tough league opposition in the coming weeks. The next 4 games will test John Ward and his team to the full starting with a tough away game tonight at play off hopefuls Lincoln City. The Robins will do well to pick out many points in this game and will have to be weary of the threat posed by striker Simon Yeo, ex Spurs midfielder Peter Gain and loan signing Marcus Richardson from Hartlepool United. I predict a win for Lincoln City in this game

On Saturday we travel to Swansea City looking for revenge after the late 4-3 defeat to them back in August at Whaddon Road. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that Lee Trundle is the dangerman. The ex Wrexham frontman has netted 15 times in the league this season. Over players to look out for will be ex West Ham player Leon Britton who impressed in a midfield role earlier in the season at Whaddon Road, ex Burnley player Bradley Maylett will also pose problems from midfield and will have to be watched carefully. I predict a scoring draw at best in this game

A week later on the 24th high flying Hull visit Whaddon Road looking for revenge from their last visit when they were knocked out of the cup 3-1. The ambitious ‘Tigers’ who were rumoured to be interested in signing Leeds player Nick Barmby went through a mid season dip in form however a run of 4 wins in a row against York, Doncaster, Cambridge and Darlington have seen them rise back up to top spot in the division on goal difference from Oxford. The men to watch in this game in my opinion are strikers Danny Allsopp and Ben Burgess, midfielders Stuart Elliott and Jason Price and ex Spurs defender Alton Thelwell. My prediction for this match is Hull will get revenge for the cup defeat earlier in the season and win by the odd goal.

On the 27th we travel the short distance up the M5 to rivals Kidderminster. This game was re arranged due to both teams being in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Kiddermisnters season has been rejuvinated since the arrival of ex manager Jan Molby as gaffer for his second spell at the club. At the time of writing they are 2 points and 2 places above the Robins. The men to watch are midfielder Danny Williams who scored the thunderbolt free kick at Whaddon Road earlier in the season as the Robins triumphed 2-1, new arrival from Derby Adam Murray who will be a very good player at this level and pacy striker John Williams who got on the score sheet in the ‘Harriers’ recent draw with Wolverhampton. My prediction for this match is that the Robins will win infront of a large traveling army of fans

So my prediction for the next 4 games is that we will accumulate 4 points which will hopefully be enough for us to climb a place or two away from the relegation zone. Of course I could be wrong and we may win every game!...... but most likely not I would think!
