SUMMARY OF SEASON 2006 – SO FAR……………..
For their pre-season training the Saints squad had a go at all sorts of activities in the blazing sunshine at Lusty Head. The robustious pack particularly enjoyed a canter along the beach on their piebald ponies with Chicken progressing to a gallop.
The whole squads spirits were insouciant with them playing in the sand while the lascivious female cyber-geeks spent many hours admiring the objects of their virtu on the offy websites’ picturezone.
Everything looked rosy at the nascent of the season, but if only the squad were more prescient of things to come. The supposititious start to the season was ground to a halt by the turgid condition of Brucies’ and Clarkeys’ joints. Did someone have a machination to make this season a long hard travail? - Whatever was done would not stanch this misfortune - a virus and yet more injuries meant that many players were unable to gambol around the pitch on match days. Certain referees had to frequently refer to their vade mecum which some fans would have liked to make inhere with the refs’ posterior – the main reasons being that the ref was either to much or too little argus-eyed.
The enjoyable win over
