So the Harlequins management have looked to Argentina, the land of ferocious scrummagers, for a replacement and they have found Agustín Costa Repetto who is just breaking into the Argentine team at the age of 23.
In last year's Churchill Cup he played in the games against the USA and England. He also played for Argentine Provinces against Uruguay and Chile, scoring two tries against Chile. He played against Italy for an Argentine XV and played for Argentina against Samoa. He got his first full cap against Canada alongside fellow Quin Pablo Bouza.
He has already played against a number of players in ND1 when he played for Argentina XV against England Counties, the South Americans were victors 36-10
Agustín has signed for two months but if things go well he could be offered the option of a year's extension.
On leaving Argentina he said:
"Voy a probar en estos dos meses lo que es el rugby profesional. Si me gusta y estoy cómodo, firmo por una temporada más".
"Me costó tomar la decisión de irme, principalmente por el seleccionado de Buenos Aires. Tenía muchas ganas de jugar el Argentino porque se armó un grupo muy bueno y es gran candidato, seguido de Tucumán".
Which basically translates as he wants to come over here to prove himself in professional rugby and if he likes it he would like to sign for another year but it has been a tough decision to leave.
He holds a Spanish passport so that means he won't be classed as a 'foreign' player.
Agustín is still very young for a front row and if he does well he could be a welcome addition to the squad for years to come.
