Kenya Harlequin reached their second successive final but this time Impala turned tables on them to win 24-12. In a final marred by poor officiating, Quins were up 5 - 0 but then lost their way and found themselves 24 -5 down before a consolation try by Allan Makaka made it 24 -12. Quins remain joint top of the sevens standings with Impala who were reinstated all their points lost in the first leg by the Kenya RFU after a "successful" appeal. Quins Sidney Ashioya was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.

Quins seconds picked up their first sevens silverware of the season when they beat senior side USIA-A 15-10 in the shield final. It was a good reward for the lads who have been working very hard in training over the past four weeks.Tito Oduk was the toast of the team as he scored the winning try moments after having come in from the sin bin.

Quins Kweens the ladies side made it to the Plate Final in their debut performance and left the pitch with their heads high despite losing 24- 5 to Ugandans Black Panthers. Irene Owino, Janet Awuor, Sarah Otieno (c), Kate Anampiu, Adelaide Nasambu had an outstanding two days where they showed that given time the Kweens will be a force to reckon with. Their 28 -7 victory earlier against Mwamba II was executed in style as the Kweens played out an excellent game and the standing ovation they received was well deserved.

Next Tournament in Mombasa will be the Driftwood 7's on the 8th and 9th. Lets get down to the Coast and support our boys.
