Since leaving Wellington, Jarvo, as he's more affectionately known, is going from strength to strength, making his full debut against Ospreys last season, to very complementary praise from both Mark Evans and the Media.
He is a product of the highly successful Harlequins Academy and has played for England at U21 level. He has a good tactical brain on him and has one of the best passes at the club. He was a core part of the 2ndXV that has been so successful over the past couple of years and he has had a big part in getting the exciting Quins backline moving.
Last season he contracted meningitis which could have put an end to his playing career but now he is back and this season will be fighting with new signing Andrew Mehrtens for the number 10 shirt.

Joe Ryan catches up with Adrian Jarvis to ask him a few questions:
What do you think about the Academy set up ?
The academy creates a good stepping-stone from school or club rugby into professional rugby, its a big step up. The second XV league is the ideal way to learn the game without the pressure of the bigger stage.
Do you think having Friend and Richards there will make a difference to the chances of the youngsters being given a chance, and has training changed with the new coaching staff ?
Both Dean and Friend have made an big impact at the club. Both are very respected by the players and they have created a clear and hopefully exciting structure at Quins that will mean we are playing good attractive rugby and will ensure we gain promotion back into top flight rugby.
How did you find your debut against the Ospreys, you must have been pleased by all of the positive feedback in the media?
I really enjoyed my first start against the Ospreys, apart from the score, and Gavin Hensen handing me off to run in under the posts. Was a good experience, one that I hope I will get again.
What was it like playing for England U21 with so many other Quins backs in the team?
Playing for England u21 was great fun and we had a lot of Success. It made my job as 10 much easier playing with guys that I play day in day out with.
What do you think of the entrance of Mehrtens at the club?
Merhts has only been here a little while but I am looking forward to learning from one of the best fly-halves there has been in the last ten years
Who has been your favourite player?
Carlos Spencer
What is your first rugby memory?
First rugby memory was just playing at Roslyn park U7 against Effingham in the final of there tournament and losing (I'm still bitter, the referee stitched us)
If you don't mind me asking, how have you coped after your serious brain injury?
I was ill over in January and had to have surgery to relieve fluid on my brain. I was very fortunate that there has been no permanent damage to my brain or eyesight, it took a couple of months to recover but I'm back and looking forward to the season
I'm glad to hear that and I wish you all the best mate.
