Pablo Bouza is renowned for two things, his energetic play around the field and his excellence in the lineout. He is still a key part of Argentina's first XV having played most recently in the South American team's excellent performance against the British Lions in Cardiff in May 2005 where he won all of his lineout ball. Then he travelled to Canada to join the Churchill Cup squad for the final against England.

Bouza has generally played in the back row both as flanker and number 8 but he has also played in the second row - a position that Quins are a little short in at the moment.

He missed out on selection for the 1999 RWC but score four tries in two matches in the 2003 World Cup.

His skill with the ball in hand is well known and he has represented Argentina in 7s tournaments ten times.

He joins Quins on a one year contract from the Duendes Club in Rosario, Santa Fe where he was captain.

“We are delighted that Pablo has joined NEC Harlequins,” said Dean Richards, on the Quins website. “He is an experienced international who can play in both the second and back row, and is someone that we have been very keen to bring into the squad.”

Welcome to Quins Pablo, I hope you have an enjoyable and successful time with us.
