| Board Name: | RobMac |
| Age: | 25 |
| Location: | Watford |
| Occupation: | Train Timetable Planner (please don’t hate me!) |
| Why did you choose your board name?: | Quite boring really, it’s just a shortened form of my name (Robert McCarthy) |
| How long have you been supporting Quins?: | As long as I can remember |
| How did you start supporting Quins?: | I loved the different colours! |
| If you play(ed) rugby what position did/do you play?: | I played at Wing, Fullback or Scrum Half – I’m that nippy small bloke you find in any team! |
| Best ever Quins game: | Has to be the PP cup final last year – the last minute was superb! |
| Favourite off pitch Quins experience: | My first trip to the Stoop (does this count?) |
| What is the most ridiculous rugby related thing you have done?: | Driving a full car load of Welsh supporters to the Wales V England match at Wembley in 1999 when England lost in the last minute. I was shown on TV for a number of seconds with fully painted St. Georges cross on my face and everything! The problem was the journey home! Never again, I travel on my own these days! |
| Favourite Ground (after The Stoop): | I take it we’re talking Rugby here: HQ (or Vicarage Road as it’s only a 2 minute walk away!) If we include any sports ground it would have to be Anfield Road, Liverpool FC |
| Favourite Quins Player: | Will Greenwood |
| Favourite Non-Quins Player: | Richard Hill |
| Most likely to say?: | Where’s the nearest KFC or McDonalds? |
| Least likely to say?: | A few more carrots on my plate please |
| What are your non-rugby pastimes?: | Watching football, listening to music, Air and Railway enthusiast (definitely do NOT own an anorak though! Hopefully I will start a new trend among railway enthusiasts as I wear my Quins fleece hat while I’m enthusing?!) |
| Favourite Film(s): | Pulp Fiction, Tombstone, Goodfellas……. Or anything with Robert De Niro in it! |
| Favourite TV Programme(s): | Friends, CSI (Miami and the original) |
| Favourite Book(s): | Lord of the Rings (lost count of the amount of times I’ve read it); Bravo Two Zero; Jason Leonard’s Autobiography! |
| Favourite Music: | most things, Manic Street Preachers, REM, Madonna, Oasis, The Shadows (got that from my dad!) |
| Favourite Food(s): | Roast Dinners (no veg). Anything with chips and Fajitas |
| Favourite Drinks(s): | Coca Cola – sorry, but it’s the nicest drink out there! Oh, and tea of course. |
| Favourite Quotation(s): | ‘Minor detail missed equals f*** up guaranteed’ – Andy McNab. ‘I’ll do it now, in a minute’ – My Wife! |
| Favourite Place(s) to visit: | Obviously the Stoop; Any Preserved steam railway; The Flying Legends airshow at Duxford; My parents house. |
| When you were young what did you want Jim to Fix for you?: | Sadly, I am just about old enough to have watched this and I wanted Jim to fix it for me to train and play a game with Liverpool Football Club. Of course at that time Jim must have been pig sick of this and similar requests! Of course I didn’t get my wish – if only I had asked to train with Quins, then maybe he would have fixed it for me! |
| Tell us THREE things about yourself that we wouldn't know. BUT, TWO of these should be true, but ONE should be totally made up: |
1. I’ve witnessed a mid air collision between two aircraft 2. My wife and I said our marriage vows on the footplate of a steam locomotive 3. I was born and raised in South Wales but am a die hard England Fan |
