As the game progressed, Rosslyn Park began to make the most of their dominance in the set-pieces to fight their way into Harlequins territory. Quins attempted to kick their way into a better position, but were unable to win secure ball.

The final half saw Harlequins forced into playing a much more defensive game deep in their own half. They were unable to make their way into a better field position, but did put up a determined defence against the relentless attack by Rosslyn Park. It was in the final minute of the game, that Park were finally able to find a gap in Harlequins defence and score the only try of the game.
Whilst disappointed to let in a last-minute try after such hard work in defence, Quins certainly made the most of their opportunity to run-off the excesses of Christmas and switch-on, ready for next weeks crucial fixture. With Quins currently sitting in second position in the league, they face table-toppers Chesham at home at the Old Isleworthians ground, in what may be their most important game of the season.
