Over There!
In the first half Quins applied the early pressure but failed to break down the Leeds defence. As time went by Leeds began to expand their play and produce some good strong runs that put Quins on the back foot. By half time Leeds had succeeded where Quins had failed and had crossed the white wash for 2 tries.
I can only assume the Quins must have had a bit of a talking to at half time as they started the Second Half all guns blazing. The ball was being spread out a little more and Quins scored 3 tries of their own.
All throughout the second period Leeds were not out of the game at any point and defended well, although sometimes a little over aggressively. They managed to pull a try back at the death but it wasn’t enough and they just lost a very close fought game 19-17.
There was not much to choose between either team, both sets of Forwards enjoyed periods in the ascendancy, I would say Leeds slightly more than Quins.

If the ref had played more advantage the backs could have found a tad more fluidity, he chose not to and made parts of the game very stop start.
As the final whistle blew several Quins players punched the air in victory, they had not just won the World Cup final or a Grand Slam but it was clear to see how much they enjoyed their victory.
I would recommend the U21’s and U19’s matches to anybody, the Debs bar is open if you fancy a pint, I finished the afternoon having a couple of Ciders watching Saints v Glos on the big screen and it’s FREE (the entrance fee not the beer).
