A good rucking technique
From here, Harlequins were to dominate possession, repeatedly stealing back Weston ball despite the visitors strong rucking game. When awarded a scrum inside Westons twenty-two, flanker, Tanya Wilson, scooped up the ball from the ensuing ruck and powered over the line.
Despite the high-penalty count on both sides, Quins continued to keep the game in Westons half, and challenge them well in the set pieces. This gave the backs the chance to maximise their free-flowing game, with inside-centre, Leonie Webster, taking the ball over the line for the final try of the first half.

The second half was to see some excellent attack runs from Quins, with fly half, Dani Knight, running in a total of four tries. Other second-half tries came from Alex Burbidge at full-back and hooker, Amy Smith.
Overall, it was a great opportunity for the Harlequin Ladies to put into practice some of the key passages of play they have been working on in training. Next week they play away at St Albans, before travelling to face Clifton 2s in their next league fixture on the 2nd November. Special thanks must go the Diamond Geezers for both their sponsorship of this game and their great support on the sidelines.
