Ugo Stings The Wasps
By Charlotte Coldrey September 15 2003
Wasps were last year’s champions and we’d beaten them twice!!! And they weren’t very happy Ha ha. I’m sure they wanted to sting us!
We go to The Stoop early and saw Lawrence Delaglio arrive in his car at the same time as the wasp’s team. We go drinks at an empty bear tent! And went to get our pork rolls but to our astonishment the pork roll man had gone :-( . So we had to make do with a bacon bap. Which was actually quite nice!!!

We went to find Barbara to get next weeks tickets, And had a laugh seeing Jason the Oran Utang in the squad picture. We got to our seats and met up with our friends and cheered like crazy when the team came on. After a few minutes I thought that there was only one team playing (and it wasn’t us) :-( . Things were going from bad to worse as Burkey missed an easy kick.

The first half was all wasps. There first try happened when Keogh and Duffy just watched the ball as it bounced in front of them into the hands of a wasp’s player who scored a try.

We all got a huge surprise when ace was sin binned for a change *huge sarcastic smile*! Which was a bit unfair though as the other team were just the same. Then there was a punch up accompanied by the rocky music! Which made us all laugh.

Thank goodness for Ugo who scored in the dieing minutes at the end of the half to make the score 19-16 to wasps at half time.

We weren’t very happy at half time but a very different Quins team came out flying and raring to go. A fantastic try by Duffy and that made up for is mistake we think! And another try from my man of the match Ugo gave us the win 34-27. We started singing a new song in the car on the way home;

UgoWe love you Ugo
We thing your hair style is great
We love you Ugo
We want to be your mate
We love you Ugo
Let’s have try number eight!
