Faced with such a long journey, the morning after their Christmas social, Quins Ladies were not looking likely to put in their best performance of the season! From Harlequins kick-off, Worcester were quick to dominate in the rucks, keeping good possession of the ball. Quins worked hard to keep the game in the Worcester half, but the home side soon read the drift defence and began to cut back inside. Worcester were then able to break through the line and open the scoring.

The floodgates opened, and several more tries soon followed. Harlequins just couldnt get their defence organised and Worcester made the most of every opportunity they had.
In the second half, Harlequins finally began to play their own game. Good use of their kicking game soon had Worcester camped out on their own try-line. With the Quins forwards now dominating in the scrums, several turnovers of possession gave them the chance to put Worcester under real pressure for the first time in the game. After several unsuccessful attempts to take the ball down the blindside, the ball came out to the backs, giving Jo Morgan the chance to run through and score her first try for Harlequins.

Never a team to give up on a game, whatever the score line, Quins played on until the final whistle. Worcester came back to score once more, but not without a fight against a now much more determined Harlequins defence.
The Harlequin Ladies now have their Christmas break to look forward to. In the New Year, their first game looks likely to be a friendly on the 12th, with their first league fixture at-home against Weston Super-Mare on the 19th.
