One of our 2005 summer series is a supporters 'If you could', the series continues with another of my co-eds, BrianC. Throughout the off season we plan to learn a little bit more about many of our 'Usual Suspects'

Relive any 'non-sports related' moment in your life, what would it be and why?

Getting my first pay packet in 1976. Twenty quid has never again made me feel so rich.
Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in your career which one would it be and why?

Career – the look on the directors of my company’s faces when, during a presentation, I swapped email over the internet with a friend in San Francisco to prove to them that it worked, (Circa 1988). They didn’t believe it was real and insisted on phoning him up for proof.
Enjoy a 'champagne moment' again in sport which one would it be and why?

2002 PG Cup final.... if you can call a whole day a 'moment'.
Not be asked one question for the rest of your life what would it be? My PC is running very slowly, can you fix it?
Be a celebrity for the day who would you be? Terry Wogan, I’ve been a fan since my teens.
Be a sports star for the day who would it be? Tiger Woods
Have dinner with 4 people from the past or present who would they be? Terry Wogan, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi, Chairman Mao
Witness one event from history what would it be?

Berlin the night the wall came down.
Go back in time and give advice to a 13 year old Brian Campbell what would it be? Whatever else you do, take time to enjoy your life
Win any sporting event in the world what would it be?

Any olympic event, the feeling of being the best in the world in your sport must be very special.
Try out a new sport what would it be? At my age in life - bowls
Have one extravagance what would it be? I have it, a boat
Only ever eat one meal again what would it be? Bacon sandwich – Good quality dry cure bacon, brown crusty bread, ketchup
Live anywhere else in the world where would it be? Summer months: Henley on Thames. Winter months: Bophut, Koh Samui, Thailand
Support any other Rugby Club which would it be and why? Henley RFC. Friendly little club, great location.
Tell us a claim to fame what would it be?

Mark Hammil (Luke Skywalker) paid for me to go and see the first Star Wars movie.
See into the future what do you expect to be doing in 10 years time?

Semi retired but still working at something to keep the grey cells ticking over.
Only ever drink one drink again what would it be?

Depends on weather & mood. Reading_Glasses ‘Pimms sauvage’ would take some beating.
Do any other job other than your current one what would it be?

Mine.
Change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Lose two stone
Buy one player from past or present to play in London Irish colours who would it be? Keith Woods
