Mike, finally realising that his destiny lies not with the cider swillers, has hitched a ride east up the M4 to be warmly embraced by the Irish. Along with O'Strudders, Mike's lilting Irish accent is a welcome addition to the pitch and his not insignificant experience can only enhance the team. Sadly, the move to Irish almost certainly means that Mike's international career is over as his skills and talent will now become invisible to the selectors (little did we know at the time of writing.) However, the chance to be clasped to the bosom of the LI family is certain to be more than adequate compensation. Responsible for a significant increase in the sales of cat(t) ears since his signing.
