All the Arthur Ransome books, “ Swallows and Amazons” onwards. All Steinbeck; George Orwell, most science-fiction; all Land Rover manuals; all the “Sister Fidelma” books.

 Spanish and classical guitar; Tarrega, Torroba, Sor ,Bach.

BUT, I’d pay HUGE money to witness a rap singer get electrocuted on stage.

How long supporting LI?

 About forty years.

Best ever LI game (Excluding 2002 cup final)

Has to be this year at Newcastle.; all stitched up in the last two mins of injury time. I know loads of Falcons’ supporters and I lost track of the number of times someone said to me “ You jammy Paddy batsards”.

Greystones. Being a part of the first ever London Irish 100 Euro round…….probably EUROPE’s first 100 Euro round.

What are your non-rugby pastimes?

Climbing, potholing, music, Land Rovers, long-bow archery, grub, “ The Duke of Wellington” at Danby, reading, collecting old watches……

Family from Cork City. I’m an Irish citizen ( uPVC)

‘cos of my jobs and where I live I only get to LI games up North or on tour; about six or eight a year…………………..I’ve never been to Reading in my whole life!
