Third Division neighbours Bury fully deserved their victory as they suprisingly dominated most of the game with Premiership Wanderers having only a single shot on target through substitute Kevin Nolan.
Bury attacked from the start, and roared on by a large following, they forced two good saves from Kevin Poole in the first half with Bolton having the odd attack but the final ball was all to rare and just wasn't good enough.
Bury took the lead in the second half when Jon Newby broke away from the Wanderers defence, not for the first time, and crossed the ball in front the right of the area but it was Wanderers defender Bernard Mendy who got to the ball first only to slide the ball home to send the visiting 'Shakers' wild.
It was a very poor performance indeed from Bolton who showed absolutely no passion, commitment or pride and Bury fully deserved their victory.
The commitment and loyalty of the players must really come into question when they can't seem to motivate themselves when playing for their first team places against a local rival.
