Fulham 4 Bolton 1
By Matt Lawton
August 17 2002
A poor first half performance proved to be the downfall of Bolton Wanderers as they fell to a 4-1 opening day defeat 'away' to Fulham.
Bolton took the lead through a 4th minute penalty from striker Michael Ricketts, the first Premiership goal of the 2002/2003 season.
However Fulham went in at half time 3-1 in front after a Saha penalty, a goal from Sylvain Legwinski and a Steve Marlet penalty.
Legwinski scored Fulham's fourth after 78 minutes in Fulham's first game as tenants at QPR's Loftus Road ground.
