Stranraer kept up their promotion hopes on track thanks to a Kevin Finlayson double and a single goal by Lee Sharp. All scores in this match occurred in the second half.
The first half provided little excitement for the home or visiting fans The only bright spot was late in the half when David Graham crossed the ball to Lee Sharp. Sharp hesitated in front of goal and the opportunity was lost.
In the opening minutes if the second half Lee Collins raced down the left wing and squared the ball to Sharp. Yet again Sharp was in a good position, but he failed to make contact with the ball and the Spider's defence cleared the threat.
Seven minutes into the half the Blues went ahead. David Graham slipped past McCallum in the penalty box and slipped the ball into the six-yard box. A quick pivot and shot by Sharp resulted in the opener.
Only seven minutes later the Blues doubled their lead thanks to Kevin Finlayson. David Graham took a shot at goal that appeared to be going wide when it was deflected by a defender. Finlayson gathered the rebound and slotted the ball past Scrimgour.
The visitors pulled one back in the 65 minute through Derek Carcary when he slipped past Fraser Wright and scored from close range.
In the closing minutes of the match Kevin Finlayson was again on target when his looping shot beat the visiting 'keeper
Man of the Match- Kevin Finlayson, but he couldn't have done it without the service from Lee Sharp and David Graham.
Overall Summary- A good win, especially without the presence of Michael Moore. With Peterhead dropping two points it now looks like a three horse race for the two promotion spots.
