Pools into the unknown in the FA Cup

Hartlepool make the sort of trip lower league sides lose sleep over in the second round of the FA Cup on Saturday, but manager Danny Wilson is determined they won't slip on a Fleetwood banana skin. Fleetwood have not had a good season in Blue Square North and were hamnmered 5-2 at Harrogate on Tuesday when Wilson had them watched.

But the boss has been warning his players since the draw was made that they can't afford to take them lightly, and if there's any sign of that on Saturday he will be an angry man.
The match kicks-off at 2pm for the deftest of reasons - it will be the feature match on ITV's Cup highlights programme later on saturday night, and the early start is at the telly's request to give them more time to prepare the highlights.
Are they having a laugh? BBC's Match of the Day manages to turn round Premiership games when they kick-off at 5pm, let alone 3pm, on a Saturday, so how come ITV need an extra hour for this one?
But whatver the time, Pools need to take care - and they also need a win.
Their League results were crap in November after winning four on the trot in October, but a Cup win and a place in the draw with the big boys for round three would do them the world of good financially and from the team spirit poiint of view.
Pools will start the game as clear favourites, but you can bet that there will be some giant-killing results at the weekend, and they can't afford to be one of the vistims.
Their League One season is threatening to fade into mediocrity - a good Cup run could do the club, the team and the fans the world of good.
