Richard Barker
And manager Nigel Pearson isn't bad either.
All those qualities were on display as Leicester beat Hartlepool 3-0 at Victoria Park, where just a week earlier Pools had knocked Premiership West Brom out of the Carling Cup.
Pools dominated the first half, but couldn't oput their chances away, then in the second period City got things together and scored three times.
Former Pools favourite Steve Howard scuffed in the first, Nicky Adams took the second well, and so did sub Matty Fryatt when he got the third near the end.
The difference between he squads was that Pearson could afford to leave the likes of Fryatt and DJ Campbell on the bench and to take off Howard during the second half.
In a competition where managers like to rest regulars (within the rules of the competition, of course) and give a chance to a few fringe players, Pools bopss Danny Wilson did not have that sort of option, though Richard Barker, Matty Robson and David Foley all did well and certainly didn't let the side down. Barker, inparticular, won almost everything in the air in the first half, when Pools were at their best.
So when his team missed their chances, they missed out on their chance to win the game, and in the end Leicester were comfortable.
Thank goodness Pools don't have to play teams as strong as this every week in League One - the best idea is to put this one down to experience, and hope that with a paper-thin squad, there aren't too many more injuries to worry about.
