Whatever the reason, you can rely on Leicester to be just as cute and cuddly as the little fox in our picture in a cup competition that's had lots of different names in the past.
Like Leeds last season, Leicester are a so-called big club down amongst the dead men of League One, but unlike Leeds the football authorities didn't feel it was necessary to deduct points from them in order to keep them where they belong for a little longer.
Leicester start from a level playing field, and they'll no doubt regard a quick return to the Championship as their top priority this season. This is the first of three games between the sides, of course, as they have to meet home and away in League One.
Pools could do with doing well in the competition or a change -- last season they won at Chesterfield and Lincoln before managing to lose at home to Morecambe on penalties at a stage when they should really have been thinking about being Northern finalists.
Danny Wilson will probably make changes to give a few players a rest, or give a few others a chance and men like Alan Power, Matty Robson, David Foley, Richard Barker and Michael Mackay all deserve a run out.
