Fans respond to Barrow appeal
By Paul Holland
August 10 2002
The board at Barrow Association Football Club say they are "encouraged" by the response to the clubs plea for funds.
Bluebirds supporters were asked to lend the club £100,000 as a deposit to buy back their Holker Street ground from the liquidator.

Chairman Brian keen told BBC Radio Cumbria "We have raised £35,000 in three days but there is a long way to go".

"I hope all supporters and local businesses can play their part and help secure the clubs future".
