Chester Increase Capacity
By Andy Lance August 10 2002
The Deva Stadium has recently been increased to 6,012 to meet the LDV vans trophy and football league requirements. Also the Stadium has been refurbished.
Chester now have the all clear to enter the LDV Vans trophy this season and meet the Football League requirements.

Club secretary Michael Beech told the Chester Evening Leader: "A lot of hard work has gone into this. Our safety officer Tony Griffiths and his assistant Steve Povey deserve a mention. This is a real boost for the club.

The stadium has also met all the safety requirements after inpections were held against Everton and Manchester City last week.

This is great news for Chester and it's now down to Mark Wright and his team to deliver on the pitch.
