Norris Meets The Peaks
By Aston
November 18 2008
On a very slow news day for Town, David Norris met the family of the two boys who were killed by Norris' friend and former colleague Luke McCormick in a road crash during the summer.
Unless you spent the first two days of last week living under a rock on the moon with your fingers in your ears and your eyes closed you will not need filling in on this story.

So a Town spokesperson confirmed: "David spent an hour with Phil and Amanda Peak in Manchester and apologised to the family.

"He appreciated the opportunity to do that."

Amanda Peak, the mother of the two boys killed in the road crash which led to ex-Plymouth keeper Luke McCormick going to jail, has called for a line to be drawn under the controversy regarding David Norris’s goal celebration at Blackpool.
10 comments have been left on this story

Norris apologised to Mrs Peak and her husband Phil in person in Manchester on Monday and Mrs Peak says the meeting should mark the end of the furore surrounding the ‘handcuffs’ message to friend and former team-mate McCormick: “It went well. He just apologised for the upset that he had caused. It was nice to talk to him and I feel a lot better for it.

“It is hard not to like somebody when they are a nice person, which he is. It has drawn a line under the incident with us and if it has with us, then it should with everybody else.”
