Lee Shocked By Exit
By Aston
September 1 2008
Former Town striker Alan Lee has spoke of his shock at being sold by Town to Crystal Palace but also his delight at the move.
Lee: "I was surprised when Jim Magilton told me about the move - but it suited me. There's been a lot of going back and forward but I'm thrilled to have got the deal done at last.

"Jim Magilton mentioned something to me on Monday and just said for me to get Tuesday's game out of the way and then we took it from there.

"I got the call Wednesday, we talked for a couple of days and we completed the deal on Friday night.

"I jumped at the chance to play football for Neil Warnock, it's a great club, the facilities are fantastic, it's a new challenge and I'm really looking forward to it."

Re: Lee Shocked By Exit
granted lee's athletic ability is questionable but he gave more and played better than most, tommy miller for one player, can play week in and out, and still gets in the side, if you are a "yes man" and of gaelic origin you can play shite and still be in the side (mcauley and garvan)
