Town have been drawn at home against Premiership side Wigan Athletic in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup.
Steve Bruce will bring Wigan to Portman Road in the week commencing the 22nd of September although no date has been confirmed for the game yet.

Town have played Wigan in the League Cup before, in the 92/93 season Town ran 6-2 aggregate winners.

I wanted Newcastle but this aint so bad. If we stay strong in the middle of the park we'll see this one out.

I would have preferred Newcastle or Spurs as well but a winnable game is a winnable game
