Wright Eyeing England Place
By Martin July 22 2008
Town goalkeeper Richard Wright is hoping to help Town back to the Premiership and get more England caps in the process.
Wright already has two caps for England but has failed to appear in an England squad since 2003, something he wishes to put right during his time back at Town.

Wright: "You always have dreams and it was magnificent to gain two caps for England in my younger days.

"With Ipswich in a great position to go forward - and my aim is to help them reach the Premier League this season - it will give me an opportunity to knock on the door again of the England management.

"At my age I have still got many years ahead and I have learned a great deal during my time at Arsenal, Everton and West Ham.

"But Ipswich is where I feel at home and will bring the best out of me."

Wright could be an england regular by now, but injuries and bad career choice have left him in no mans land. hes got 8 more years, if we go up and stay up whose to say he can't claim a place back?

Green might look like a scare-crow but he's a very good keeper too.
