Supple Ready For Fight
By Martin July 22 2008
Town goalkeeper Shane Supple says he is ready to make Richard Wright fight to become Town's number 1 goalkeeper next season.
Supple, 21, has not ruled out leaving Town in order to get first team football but he will make Richard Wright fight for his place in the Town first team next season.

Shane: "It was good playing 90 minutes every game and I felt I did well. I know he (Jim Magilton) has brought in Richard, but I want to play and will be pushing to do that.

"He won't be getting an easy ride. I will make him work hard for his place.

"I don't want to leave Ipswich but I'm 21 and I need to be playing games. It comes down to what the manager decides so we will probably sit down and have a chat.

"I enjoyed getting away for a bit getting new ideas. I'm back now and looking to show how I have improved."

Re: Supple Ready For Fight
Well we spent a year trying to sign Wright, it was expected he would get the number 1 shirt really.
