Town To Face Norwich
By Aston July 19 2008
A Town legends XI will face a Norwich legends XI in a exhibition at Carrow Road on the 7th of September to raise money for the Canaries Historical trust.
The sides which will be captained by Bryan Gunn and Simon Milton and former players from both sides will be taking part in the game.

Former Norwich ‘keeper Bryan Gunn: "I'm delighted to be taking charge of the Norwich City X1 that will be taking on our old rivals ITFC on September 7, once again I'll be pitting my wits against Simon Milton and his old team mates and we hope that the game is as exciting as our previous encounter. We hope that there will be a large crowd there on the day to cheer us on and it will be great to see some new old faces back at Carrow Road to support the Historical Trust's fund raising event."

Town's captain for the day Simon Milton added: "Any Norwich v Ipswich derby is a match worth playing in, the last time at Carrow Road was a great game and our ex-players enjoyed rolling back the years to take part. I shall be assessing my players' fitness in the weeks leading up to the game and bringing a squad of veterans to take on Gunny's boys.

"Hopefully there will be a large crowd and I will be promoting the game at Portman Road to get some Ipswich support on the day,"

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £1 for concessions.
