Lee Wanting To Stay
By Aston June 25 2008
Town striker Alan Lee has once again stated he intends to stay with Town next season despite being linked with moves away from Town.
The 29-year-old striker scored 12 goals last season and he wants to be scoring goals at Portman Road next season.

Lee: "I am not in the slightest bit interested in leaving Ipswich Town.

"It is flattering to be linked with other clubs, but I have no thoughts at all about leaving.

"Over the last two years or so I have stressed enough times how much I love being here. And this has not changed.

"This is what I dream of doing and it would be a big achievement to do that next season as the Coca-Cola Championship will be tough one to gain promotion from, it would be special in itself for me. It would be even more special to achieve it with Ipswich Town."

needs to shed a few pounds in the summer and get his fitness up alot more on last season, where he seemed to go missing during the second half, Still prefer him to 'fans favourite' Counago though, who gives up after 15 mins if things not going his way!!!

Re: Lee Wanting To Stay
(Not sure I'd ever hear myself say this but...) Leggi's right! Lee needs to lose weight for certain and also needs to stop goin' off on one when he doesn't get a free kick/penalty or gets called for a foul/offside. Against Preston me and my missus thought he was gonna explode. It might sound funny but it's not really. he looked a right clown and for what? the ref's not gonna change his mind so get on with it fella. Other than these issues he's a good striker who if getting FULLY fit, will do plenty of damage this season.
