Feyenoord In Town?
By Aston June 23 2008
Town defender Fabian Wilnis says he is hoping to get Dutch side Feyenoord to come to Portman Road during the summer for his testimonial game.
Wilnis, who has been at Town for 9 and a half years has been granted a testimonial by Town and Fabian is hoping to get the Dutch giants to play at Portman Road in his testimonial game.

Fab: "I'm hoping Feyenoord will be the opposition.

"I grew up in Rotterdam and lived only a few minutes from their stadium.

"My dad was a steward there and they were the club I supported as a boy. My family are Feyenoord fans so it's a club that is close to my heart, just as Ipswich is obviously.

"We are still in the early stages of sorting things out for my testimonial year but if things go to plan, the match will take place as part of the pre-season build up at the start of next season."
