The Results Are In

This last weeks question has been: Who do you want in control of Halifax Town? The result has turned out to be quite interesting with the split being 50-50.

Question Of The Week

I have discussed in some depth about my feelings about the two consortiums who have shown interest in the club.

The Gameplan bid was in the Courier last night using George Mulhall to try and win over some support. Although at one stage it had been said that their bid was over, but it now seems possible that their bid may be revived.

The Hall and Cairns bid was also in the paper earlier on in the week, and rumours have been flying around that Chris Wilder is ready to be revealed as manager next Tuesday.

Peter O'Hara has been pretty quiet this week. So the position at the moment is quite unclear although it was said earlier this week that the Hall and Cairns bid was 99% complete.

In this mornings post there was a letter from the HTST asking the members for permission to hand over £10,000 to join the Hall/Cairns consortium. The letter states that the 10k will ensure a seat on the board as well as 20,000 shares in the club.

So, this last weeks question has been:

Question: Who do you want in control of Halifax Town?
Hall/Cairns Consortium 50%
Gameplan International Consortium 50%

It seems that the supporters are split in their thoughts about who to trust.

The thoughts of having over a million pounds put into the club seem enough to sway some fans towards the Gameplan group. But it is the lack of news about their long term intentions that have moved the other half of Town fans towards long serving Shaymen fans, Hall and Cairns.

Both consortiums could probably learn a lot by taking some Public Relation lessons. Not much information has been let out to the fans which has led to the split in support for the two consortiums.

This weeks question is about the letter that the HTST has sent to it's members.

If you are/were a member of the HTST, would you approve the contribution of £10,000 to the Hall/Cairns consortium from the Trust?
