FACTS ON SCOTT BRANT:

* Brant made his first-class and ING Cup debuts as a 19-year-old in the 2001-2002 season for Queensland.
* Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Brant moved to Brisbane with his family in 1999 and attended Nudgee College.
* Brant represented Zimbabwe at youth level in hockey, swimming, cricket, triathlon and athletics. Won a gold medal in pole vault at the South African Junior Championships and swam an international meets in Europe.
* Brant Man-Of-The-Match in only his second first-class match against Victoria in March, 2002.
* Scott Brant played in the 2001-2002 Pura Cup Final against Tasmania but suffered a side strain while bowling in the first innings.
