NUFC v VILLA - Line-ups

The teams have been announced. Michael Owen makes the bench for Newcastle United as Martins and Ameobi both start. Guthrie also starts on the bench as Nicky Butt makes his way back into the team and takes the Captains armband. For Villa, Carew makes the first team after a difference of opinion with Martin O'Neil saw him demoted to the bench in recent games.

i like that line-up, i might have put Guthrie in over Butt, but I think they're both bring something to the game.

Agree on Butt, he doesn't add much to the team imo.
I wouldn't mind seeing Zoggy get a run in the centre of midfield though, couldn't hurt and he might add some thrust. Its also good to see that our bench is starting to look a bit stronger than a few weeks ago..

First half has been pretty quite, Villa probably should have scored and Martins has had a few good opportunities.. 0-0 is fair so far I think..
I just wish the lads could deliver that last pass.. Our lead up play has been improving every week but the killer pass is still not being delivered anywhere near consistantly..
Playing well though..
