Newcastle United host Blackburn Rovers this weekend, with Paul Ince who was hotly tipped to replace Kevin Keegan bringing his side to Tyneside expectant of a win. Newcastle have been poor of late, losing their last home game to Hull and Blackburn will be keen to take advantage of the turmoil at the club.

New temporary manager Joe Kinnear will give Newcastle their pre-match talk after signing up for the job for 6-8 games, but it will be Chris Hughton picking the team for the last time.

Blackburn  go into the game with 3 wins in their last 5, their last being in midweek whilst Newcastle have managed just 2, losing the last few games.

Newcastle have an injury list the size of the team with Obafemi Martins an addition to that list after accruing a knee injury in their midweek Carling Cup game against Tottenham Hotspur whilst Blackburn remain relatively injury free.

Joey Barton and Danny Guthrie are both out due to suspension for Newcastle whilst Mark Viduka, Jose Enrique, Jonas Gutierrez, Alan Smith, Habib Beye, Kazenga LuaLua, W Ngo Baheng and Andy Carroll are all still out through injury.

Blackburn will be without goalkeeper Paul Robinson who is replaced by Jason Brown, due to a calf injury, whilst David Dunn makes up their other non-starter.

really poor dont think we even had a single shot on goal all i can say is we can not get any worse than that first half display only positive i can take is from watching bassong been pretty solid dor us when he has played prob our best player on the pitch!
