Oba: "I'm Happy, Very Happy"
By Tyne-Talk

Obafemi Martins is the second player in as many weeks to quash speculation of a move to Arsenal. Goalkeeper Shay Given announced last week he had no intention of leaving Newcastle, his club of 10 years, now Martins has also made a statement. Last week Martins complimented Arsenal and appeared flattered as any player would, by their apparent interest,
However he failed to say he was interested in a move to London, yet his comments were taken out of context in many cases, he has now confirmed has every intention of staying in the North East.

Oba said:

"It is good to know where I am going to be because I am still a Newcastle player and I really want to play for Newcastle. I really love the fans as well and I have three years contract so for now I really don't know what is going on.

There is talk about Arsenal, which is a good thing because they play in the UEFA Champions League, but for now I am a Newcastle player and I will stay here for three years.

I am happy, very happy.

It is up to Newcastle. I still have three more years left and I really want to play for Newcastle. I want to my best to help them into Europe."

The headline should be:
Martins issues another non-committal statement.
Obviously any player can only be sold if the team agrees. Given the option, Oba, would you want to stay or go? Answer the damn question.
