Middx secured a vital second win of the season by 6 wickets. The final day was full of tension as Middx battled to bowl Worcs out. They did so for 323, needing 104 from 29 overs to win. Every Middx player put their heart and soul into the chase, lead by Hutton before Weekes hit the winning runs.

Day 3

Middx were in control of procedings at New Road, having posted a huge score of 525; Owais Shah (140*) and Jamie Dalrymple (84) leading the way. In reply, needing 220 to avoid an innings defeat, Worcetershire were 136/4 at close, Kadeer Ali (32) and Bichel (53*) the men in.

Day 2

A century from Ben Hutton saw Middlesex build on a good bowling display as they dominated on day 2. Hutton (108), who shared in a 2nd wicket stand of 127 with Nick Compton, ensured that Melvyn Betts’ maiden Middlesex five-for was made to count.

The performance of the ‘sex today was pleasing to the point that Vikram Solanki missed out on a century as the underrated scary spice of cricket completed his five-for. New overseas star Ajit Agarkar also made his mark, snapping 2 of the last 4 wickets.

Day 1

4-64 from Mel Betts put Middlesex in a fairly good position at the close of play, although Worcestershire had progressed from 147/6 to 263/6 when bad light forced an early finish after 68.3 overs. Vikram Solanki (82*) and Andrew Hall (63*) the men in.
