Lions roar to victory
By David Slater July 16 2004
Surrey won the first ever Twenty20 Cup match at Lord's by 37 runs. Adam Hollioake provided the killer touch with 65*, having been dropped twice on 1 and 11.

It was a dissapointing display in the field for Middlesex with only Paul Weekes causing problems for the Lions, taking 2-20. They reached their total of 183 with the loss of 5 wickets.

The Middlesex reply never got going, with less then 40 runs being scored from the first 7 overs. Lance Klusener, making his final apperance for the club did his best hitting a spectacular 53 of 32 balls including 5 fours and 1 six but the Crusaders fell 37 runs short.
