A partnership of 220 between Ed Joyce and Jamie Dalrymple guided Middlesex into the quarter finals of the C&G in a tense match at Lord's. From their 50 overs Glamorgan reached 256/8, Matthew Elliot top scoring on 85. That score looked to be enough by the time Andy Strauss was out; Middx 23/3, but a

wonderful recovery by Joyce (100*) and Dalrymple (107) guided Middx home in spectacular style, although Dalrymple was out when Middx needed 14 to go but Ben Hutton (12*) came in to ensure it would be Middlesex making the trip to Bristol in mid-June.
