The trophy is ours

LEEDS United are set to be at the centre of a Football Association probe following alligations made by several members of the Doncaster Rovers playing staff on Sunday afternoon. It is thought that around 10 Leeds supporters spat on the Rovers' players as they walked betweent the Leeds and Doncaster fans to go and collect their trophy.

It is thought that the incident wasn't caught by the  SKY  SPORTS  television cameras, although the camera clearly thought a distressed United fan trying to take a swipe at Doncaster Captain Brian Stock, who was leading his side up the hundreds of steps to collect their winners medals and trophy.

It is thought that the club could face a £15,000 fine and a possible reduction in matchday ticket allocations next season should the F.A. find the club's fans guilty.

Exactly what I said mate, seem to take anything against the club when it would be so easy for them to get individuals.

As a Leeds fan I say well done on winning the Final and good luck next year.

The vast majority of Leeds fans would not want anything to do with behaviour such as that described in the article. If true those fans should be punished severely by Leeds United.

But punishing the rest of the fans and the club for the behaviour of a few is as illogical as punishing the fans by deducting fifteen points for the behaviour of the businessmen trying to buy the club out of administration!

Isn't it time those who did the crime did the time - instead of punishing the rest of us because we're easy targets?

Anyway, good luck, may your rise through the League continue!

The difference obviously being is that in the administration case the club benifitted and as such the club as a whole was punished (quite rightly too).

On this ocassion however I agree is should be the offenders themselves punished and not the club.
