Half Time Portsmouth 1-0 Hull
Portsmouth started the second half brightly, Glen Johnson firing at shot straight at Myhill. Portsmouth continued to press but couldn’t create any chances . Portsmouth were made to pay after not Building on their bright start to the second half and Hull equaliser, Dean Marney swung in the corner it was flicked onto turner at the back post and he headed past David James to make it 1-1. After the goal Hull started to believe their could win the game and began to pressure the Portsmouth defence. David James saving well from Marlon King and Daniel Cousin couldn’t get to the loose ball. Ian Ashbee having a header 5 minutes later which were straight at James.Despite the Hull pressure it was Portsmouth who took the lead for the second time. Glen Johnson hit’s a 25 yard shot into Myhill’s top left hand corner. Great goal from Portsmouth. Hull made two substitutions to get back into the game George Boateng and Marlon king making way for Dean Windass and Peter Halmosi with 20 minutes to go. With 9 minutes to go and Hull still losing Brown used his last sub, putting on Stelios for Dean Marney. 8 minutes remaining and Hull began to look more likely to get an equaliser then Portsmouth were to getting a winner. Geovanni hitting a free kick but it was easlierly saved by James down to his left. Hull did get their Equaliser on 87 minutes that man Dean Windass scoring with a header although the last touch seemed to come off Portsmouth defender Noe Pamerot. 5 minutes were added and both sides pushed forward for the winner. Traore having the last effort of the game as he sent a shot from way out over the bar into the Hull fans. Full Time Portsmouth 2-2 Hull. Hull record their second 2-2 draw on the trot. Hull remain 6th and Portsmouth remain 8th .

"At the moment we are having problems locking up and winning games. Credit to Hull, they never give you a moment's peace.
"It is important that you do not lose but we did not finish them off. We had enough chances to bury them.
"But we did not get the two-goal cushion we need at home at the moment."

"After going 2-1 down we would have probably taken a point.
"Dean Windass is a clever player and he knows chances are hard to come by.
"We are a little disappointed because we had some tremendous chances but then again so did they."
