Stoke's Ricardo Fuller scored the only goal over the game in Jamaica's FIFA 2010 World Cup qualifier victory over Mexico last night. Stoke team mate Demar Phillips started along side Ricardo Fuller in the game which gave Jamaica there first win of the qualifiers and there first under new manager John Barnes.

After 14 minutes Fuller caused a massive upset as he scored from a 25 yard left footed shot, to make it 1 - 0 , a score line which would remain until the final whistle. Sven Goran Eriksson's side included a wealth of top class players including Rafael Marquez, Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos.

Demar Phillips played for the full 90 minutes, whilst Ricardo Fuller was taken off after 71 minutes as Jamaica closed out the game.

Elsewhere, after all the Media hype in midweek regarding Diao's fitness, he passed the test and started alongside Stoke man Abdoulaye Faye as it ended in tears for Senegal. A last minute goal from Gambia has ended there qualification campain and they will not go the FIFA 2010 World Cup Qualifications Third Round. With 3 minutes remaining Senegal where in the lead due a goal by Kader Mangane around the hour mark, this came to a disappointing end for the African side when 3 minutes from time Tijan Jaiteh scored for Gambia. Due to other results a draw saw Senegal crash out.
