Zamora in action
A wonderful home win against Arsenal sent Fulham hearts soaring. It was the kind of result which Arsenal fans never thought possible. They (along with other big 4 clubs) tend to think away days at the Cottage are a shoe-in for an easy win. We have showed that will not be the case this season. Hangeland's performance in defence was excellent in neutralising the Arsenal attack, and then to score the winning goal, truely made it a day he will remember for long while.
A poorly attended Carling Cup match against Leicester followed, and although the result was the right one, Fulham should have done better, Leicester almost forced a replay, if it wasn't for a last minute goal from captain Danny Murphy.
Bolton at home seemed like a true test of our resolve. A physical side, but the kind of team we need to beat on home turf if we are to avoid a repeat of last season's struggle. A great performance turned in a good home win. This ended three home matches in a row before our next away game. Blackburn have looked vulnerable this season, and Fulham need to capitalise on a great home record with a strong away performance at Ewood Park.
