I don't like him!
Boring B****rds
With the "king of the kop" returning to the North Stand last Saturday, you would have thought the atmosphere was booming. But as I found with certain games last season, some parts of the crowd are relying on others to get things going and will happily sit back with fingers on there lips when we're not going so good.
But the times when your team is disappointing you and under performing, is the time you need to get behind the team and sing your hearts out. We do have great fans and great support but it could be better mind you have the increased prices put off the singers? I don't want to stereotype but from my experience the well off never want to sing. There happy with prawn butties and a flask of Twinnings, not me I'd rather have a mouldy pie and a flat bitter and get behind the love of my life the Seasiders!
Talk To Us!
I've been contacting former 'Pool players this week to see if they'd do bits for the site. But since I called Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston a "Kop Out" for diving a question, it would appear no one wants to talk to me. Shame I got some right good equipment now, doubt it will get an outing to soon though. but if you have suggestions for people you want me to try and contact then please let me know on the message board.
Speaking of which, thanks to all those that presently use the board, your keeping the site alive, so thanks. But if your not signed up yet then please do. Or the leaflets will be coming out again!
Struck out!
Anyone else think we need another forward ASAP? Steve Kabba looks sharp and will be deadly at full fitness but can he get twenty goals? Unless your 100% percent sure then we need another striker. Daniel Nardellio, looks like a good signing, but his fitness worries me. Where as Burgess, although I'm a fan, I think he would be better behind the front two in a holding role. He can hold up play brilliantly and is good for the odd goal, so why not?
Midfield? One more maybe?
Also for me, I think we need another midfielder, just purely to boost the squad and apply pressure on the first team. Without Southern we seem to have a lack of organisation in the midfield and we did have the natural replacement in Micheal Flynn but he's gone now.
Jorgenson and Fox for me are players that can hold there own without been brilliant, with the occasional outstanding performance a season. Wright is a cracking player and number 1 to partner Southern but what if them two are out? Jorge and Fox can't partner each other, there too similar and Green isn't good enough for this level or Grayson would be using him more often. So for me time for another midfielder.
Stop there's a thief
Have you ever had the fantasy that you and your mates are doing over a bank van? I know some will have even planned it whilst half-cut. Anyway this week, someone lived out the fantasy and got away with 20,000 quid. What made me laugh though is that the guy escaped on his bike, which he padlocked to avoid been nicked! Quality, although I feel sorry for the guy who was held up with a "pistol", some rumours suggested it was a water gun which just makes it even funnier.
Charity Adverts!
Don't they do your head in? I mean wouldn't the ad fee be better spent on fresh water or something? Well for others who are as equally annoyed at been guilt tripped as you tuck into a nice bottle of fresh water, I'm launching a service now where for £2 a month, I will stop these adverts, I will stop nice folk been harassed by this bullying by charities, no longer will you feel guilt tripped. All this for just £2 a month!
Book Update!
Nice to finish with an update about my book. It's going to be called "We are superior" or "When I was just..." The books about Blackpool vs Preston, it will be the definitive guide featuring every derby match on record. I'm half way through one of the chapters at this moment in time but the writing process has been delayed by sudden homelessness. But not to worry the book will be finished within the year! So watch this space!
Thank You for reading and goodbye
