It's Marlon Broomes!
Grayson's first signing is a shrewd one, bringing in a proven Championship defender to replace Micheal Jackson. Broomes aged 30 is in the best form of his career and still has plenty of gas left in the engine. Marlon has signed a one year deal with an option for a further year and he's delighted to have made switch.
He told the official site, "I'm delighted, When I first found out through my agent that Simon Grayson was interested I was really keen to speak to him".
The defender added,"We had contract negotiations yesterday and I just couldn't wait to begin and get signed - and I'm looking forward to the season".
Broomes is well established coming into the game in 1994. He started his career with Blackburn Rover before been sent on numerous loan moves. Marlon has also played for West Lancashire rivals Preston and more recently Stoke.
Meanwhile one player we've been linked to, Paul Wotton, has denied that the Seasider have made there interest known. He told the press "It's the first I've heard of it."
